CULTURE- VIGO Vigo has an intensive cultural life and is a forerunner in vanguardian tendencies in art, literature, music and design. At present, the city lives an efervescent cultural moment due to several projects currently being developed such as the Maritime Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art. Other projects under construction are the new Cultural Center Cinema Fraga sponsored by Caixagalicia, the new Cultural Center Caixanova, the Cultural Center Pedro Barrie de la Maza and the Word Center. The University of Vigo is also continously expanding.
