VIGO’91:
AN INDUSTRY
WITHOUT BOUNDARIES
In Vigo’s 1991 World Fishing Exhibition
inauguration, the Vice-President of the Spanish
Government, Narcís Serra, emphasized
“the urgent need to intensify international
cooperation, as a way forward”. In the
days that followed, the emerging fishing industries
from South America: Chile, Peru, Argentina,
Brazil, Ecuador,…and Africa: Morocco,
Angola, Namibia, etc. generated the biggest
business perspectives amongst the firms present
at the Exhibition. |
